Andrew Fecko serves as the General Manager for Placer County Water Agency. He has worked in the water and energy field for 27 years, with a particular interest in water supply infrastructure and hydroelectric energy. In his 19 years at PCWA, Andrew has focused on managing the Agency’s water and hydropower infrastructure, developing the Agency’s watershed program, and delivering a reliable water supply to the people of Placer County. Andrew recently served on the federal Wildland Fire Mitigation and Management Commission which produced a set of actionable recommendations to improve wildfire response throughout the nation. Andrew has served as PCWA’s General Manager since March 2020.
Andrew is a graduate of U.C. Davis with a background in biological science and management. He and his wife are long-time residents of the rural community of Foresthill, California, where they raised their two children. His whole family enjoys outdoor recreation throughout California and Nevada.
About PCWA: The Placer County Water Agency carries out a broad range of utility responsibilities including water resource planning and management, retail and wholesale supply of irrigation and drinking water, and production of hydroelectric energy. The Agency also performs a stewardship role on
water resource and environmental issues throughout Placer County and the Sacramento region. The Agency currently has 235 employees who operate and maintain nine water treatment plants, 170 miles of irrigation canals, two major storage reservoirs and five hydroelectric generating facilities.
