This course is designed for the emergency service dispatcher in the event they are called upon to handle a "Mayday" situation on the fire ground. This course will aid students in identifying what to listen for, what to expect and most importantly - what is to be expected. The course starts with the fire ground basics including apparatus and structure of operation from Command to the company level. It gives an overview as to what and how things are happening at the other end of the radio. The course then goes into real world incidents with actual audio from several maydays across the country with a variety of results. The course ends with small pieces of Mayday to be critiqued, not to criticize, but as a learning experience.
This is a very interactive class for a very important subject.
