A presentation focused on the evolution of Gram stains. This talk will look at the use of Artificial Intelligence in Gram stains from the perspective of a laboratory involved in developing and implementing this technology. We will also discuss lessons learned with laboratory automation and the future with AI and microbiology. We will discuss the pros and cons of this implementation as well as how technology/AI as a whole impacts Microbiology.
