Ashley found the laboratory field by accident after a misadventure with calculus and organic chemistry. She brings 14 years of laboratory education experience and an extra passion for hematology. She currently runs the MLT program at North Hennepin Community College where she has been for 8 years. Prior to that she worked at Hennepin County Medical Center as both a bench tech and laboratory educator running both the MLS and PBT programs. Her favorite cell is the eosinophil. She lives in Blaine with her husband, Seth, who is also a lab tech, their two daughters, Ava and Ella, and their parrot, Merlin. She loves nice fall days, reading, and yelling at the tv during football season.
