She brings 10+ years of laboratory experience from Hennepin Healthcare and her love of the profession into teaching the next generation of lab techs. As a former HCMC MLS graduate, she valued her wonderful instructors and wanted to be that for future students. She is the current clinical chemistry and urinalysis faculty for the hospital's MLS program. When she is not working in the lab, she enjoys reading, watching sports, and traveling the world with her sister. Katie and her sister have gone on ten sister trips including her favorite Iceland and Africa.
