Wilma Cordova has conducted research in the area of displaced families following disasters, immigration issues, working with the elderly, and HIV/AIDS in the rural context. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from New Mexico State University and a Master of Social Work from Michigan State University. She is a CASA board member and an American Red Cross mental health provider, and she has been involved with recovery efforts following natural disasters.
Wilma Cordova is a social work professor at Stephen F. Austin State University's School of Social Work who teaches social welfare policy. She maintains a clinical social work license.
