Kari McDonough serves as Vice President for Welcome.US and Senior Advisor for the Welcome Fund, the philanthropic arm of Welcome.US. Since 2021, the Welcome Fund has provided nimble and responsive grantmaking, investing over $21 million in more than 200 community-based organizations and mobilizing thousands of volunteers to welcome newcomers, bridge divides, and strengthen communities. Before joining Welcome.US, Kari served as President and Co-Founder of Vets' Community Connections, a grassroots initiative that mobilized community members to welcome and integrate local veteran and military families. Earlier in her career, she worked as a change management consultant at Accenture, guiding government agencies, private sector companies, and nonprofits through large-scale organizational transformations. She also partnered with the Council on Foundations to strengthen grantmaking and corporate philanthropy programs.
