Olivia Burgess is the Director of Collective Giving at The Erie Community Foundation, where she leads strategy, grantmaking, and engagement for three affinity funds: the Erie Women’s Fund, Emerging Erie Fund, and the LGBT Fund. In this role, she works closely with donors, volunteers, and community partners to align charitable resources with evolving local needs—an approach that informs her perspective on bridging donor intent and community impact. In addition to her work with affinity funds, Olivia partners with donor-advised and field-of-interest fund advisors, as well as The Foundation's program staff, to support the Foundation’s broader efforts to deepen its philanthropic advising. Her work centers on translating donor values into effective, community-informed grantmaking, strengthening collective giving models, and facilitating conversations that balance donor priorities with equitable, responsive outcomes. With a background in communications and storytelling, Olivia brings a passion for translating complex philanthropic concepts into clear, actionable strategies for diverse audiences. She earned her B.A. in English Literature from Allegheny College and holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation.
