Patrick Herr joined The Erie Community Foundation in August 2014 and serves as Vice President of Community Impact and Leadership. He leads the Community Impact team and oversees the Foundation’s competitive grantmaking platforms, aligning charitable investments with strategic priorities in education, health, economic growth, neighborhood and community development, and regional vitality. Pat works closely with nonprofit, civic, and philanthropic partners to strengthen organizations, build collaborative initiatives, and advance data-informed, systems-level solutions that position the Foundation as both funder and community leader. Prior to joining the Foundation, Pat spent more than 20 years in nonprofit leadership in Erie, serving as Vice President of Mental Health at Case Management Support Services and as Associate Director of Community Shelter Services. He earned a Master of Social Work from Edinboro University and is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College. Pat lives in Erie with his family and enjoys racket sports, golf, sailing, and the outdoors.
