Liz Kemmery is the senior managing editor of digital at Welcome.US, a national nonprofit that empowers Americans to welcome and support those seeking refuge in the United States and help them thrive. In this role, she leads the digital content and editorial strategy across the website, emails, newsletters, and social media channels. Kemmery previously worked as director of communications for the Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association. She spent 14 years in higher education communications and marketing at Shippensburg University and La Salle University. She worked as a community journalist in south-central Pennsylvania, and has freelanced as a creative writer, editor, and designer for small businesses and publications nationwide. Kemmery and her family sponsored a Ukrainian family in 2022 through the Uniting for Ukraine program, when she first connected with Welcome.US. She now volunteers for the Welcome.US Citizen Guide program.
