Kris Rowe embarked on his Community Action journey at 17 with the Community Action Agency of South Alabama (CAASA). Throughout his career, he has excelled in various key roles, such as Housing/Weatherization Director, IT Director, Social Services Director, and CEO. Known for his leadership and dedication, Kris has represented his state and network on national committees. In 2020, he joined the COVID-19 Response Group (CRG) and actively participates in the Department of Energy (DOE) Leveraging Committee and the Equity and Economic Mobility Commission (EEMC). As a Nationally Certified ROMA Trainer, Kris has successfully mentored several individuals. In 2020, he became the Executive Director of the Community Action Association of Alabama, providing guidance to 18 agencies. By 2023, he expanded his leadership as the Executive Director for the Southeastern Association of Community Action Agencies, serving eight states. Kris holds a BA in Human Services from Troy University and is a proud father of two daughters.
