Clancey Bateman, MS, MPH, is a Consultant at JSI with 11 years of experience in strategic communications, social marketing, digital and social media, graphic design, and evaluation of behavior change campaigns. As a health communications specialist, she has provided technical assistance to public health practitioners on topics ranging from HIV prevention to tobacco control and served as a creative lead and social marketing strategist for campaigns in California and Washington. Currently, Ms. Bateman is the Communications Director for the Reproductive Health National Training Center (
www.rhntc.org). Outside of her work at JSI, she led social media strategy and implementation for two successful soda tax campaigns in Oakland and Berkeley, California from 2014-2016. Ms. Bateman received both a Master of Public Health and Master of Science degree in Food Policy & Applied Nutrition from Tufts University’s Friedman School of Nutrition & Science Policy. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Community Health and Anthropology from Brown University.
