This course is designed to
provide a comprehensive review of the most significant advances that have
recently been made in Internal Medicine and to help candidates prepare for the
Internal Medicine Boards or the Recertification Examination. The major
subspecialties will include cardiology, endocrinology,
gastroenterology, hematology, infectious disease, nephrology, neurology,
oncology, pulmonary disease, and rheumatology. Much of the material will be
presented in lecture format by the best teachers and clinicians from the
Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In addition, each specialty will
have a case-based question-and-answer session using an interactive
computer-based system. This system will allow you (anonymously) to test your knowledge
in the different areas of medicine.

regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual
course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Amedco maintains
responsibility for this course. ASWB Learner Level: Intermediate. Social Workers
completing this course receive 28.25 GENERAL continuing education credits.

Assistants
PAs may claim a maximum of 28.25 Category 1 credits for completing
this activity. NCCPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from
organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society.
Nurse Practitioners
The American Association of Nurse Practitioners
(AANP) recognizes the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical
Education (ACCME) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as
approved accreditors and allow reciprocity for AANPCP continuing education
credit. 28.25 hours.
International
CME Accreditation
The American Medical Association has determined
that physicians not licensed in the US who participate in this CME activity are
eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
ACCME / AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
carry reciprocity with EACCME member countries and most international licensing
bodies for physicians, with some exceptions. Physicians should check with their
country/board for eligibility.
The UEMS-EACCME and the AMA has a
signed agreement of mutual recognition of CME credits between Europe and USA
