Welcome to the registration page for the 2025 Minnesota Teacher of the Year Recognition Banquet!
On Sunday, May 4, 2025, we will celebrate all 142 of this year's MN Teacher of the Year candidates, semifinalists, and finalists. We will also name the new 2025 Minnesota Teacher of the Year.
Who is invited?
You! In addition to our 142 program participants and their friends and families, we also welcome students, fellow teachers, administrators, community members, and our program sponsors to join us as we celebrate excellence in teaching.
What happens at the event?
A few minutes before the banquet begins at 1 p.m., doors will open and attendees can take their seats. There will be a brief greeting and introduction from the Minnesota Teacher of the Year Program, and a plated lunch will be served shortly afterward. The formal program will begin after the meal.
Where should I park?
The Saint Paul RiverCentre ramp is located at 150 W. Kellogg Blvd, Saint Paul, MN 55102. This is a busy area that often hosts multiple weekend events, so we recommend visiting the RiverCentre's website for more information about parking and transportation options. Arrive early to give yourself plenty of time to find the banquet hall and check in.
How do I get to the banquet?
The banquet is located on the second floor of the Saint Paul RiverCentre. Directional signage will be posted throughout the venue to help you navigate. Once you arrive, please check in at the registration table even if you have already registered and paid online.
Do I have to register in advance in order to attend?
We strongly recommend registering beforehand, especially if you have any dietary restrictions, so we can ensure an accurate catering headcount. However, a limited number of walk-up registrations on the day of the banquet will be accepted.
Can I pay for my ticket(s) with cash?
Yes, you can pay with cash at the on-site registration table, though we do recommend paying in advance when you register online, which will help us streamline the check-in process for everyone.
Is there a dress code?
There's no dress code. Many attendees choose to wear business casual attire or dress more formally.
Is there assigned seating?
Seating for most guests is open and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have a large group that wants to sit together, we recommend arriving early!
What if I have a dietary restriction?
When you register for the banquet, you can submit information about any dietary restrictions for you and your guests. Our catering partner at the RiverCentre, Morrissey Hospitality, can accommodate a wide variety of needs, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, kosher, halal, and allergy-safe options.
Whom should I contact if I have questions about the banquet or problems with my registration?
Please feel free to contact the program staff at mntoy@edmn.org, or Kari Mellerup at kari.mellerup@edmn.org, for further assistance.
