Zuleika Rosario is a distinguished nuclear medicine technologist with deep
expertise in diagnostic imaging and healthcare management. As a proud U.S. Army
veteran, she leverages her strong foundation in discipline, leadership, and
operational efficiency. Zuleika holds a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic
Sciences and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Healthcare Administration,
expected in February 2025. She is certified in both nuclear medicine and
computed tomography (CT) through NMTCB, underscoring her commitment to
technical proficiency and patient care.
Throughout her career, Zuleika has consistently demonstrated excellence in
quality control, radiation safety, and patient care. She has successfully led
imaging departments, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while
contributing to groundbreaking clinical research. Her experience includes
managing nuclear medicine and PET departments, spearheading clinical research
initiatives, and earning department-wide accreditations.
With a keen focus on process improvement and the
use of advanced imaging technologies, Zuleika is proficient in a wide range of
medical software systems, streamlining workflows to enhance efficiency. As the
President of the Georgia Society of Nuclear Medicine Technologists, she
continues to advocate for the profession, driving leadership and innovation in
the field.
Jeffrey Best, CNMT graduated from Augusta University in 2017 with a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology. Since then he has worked at several different hospitals throughout Georgia including Houston Medical in Warner Robins, Piedmont Augusta, Doctors Hospital, and most recently Emory University in Atlanta. Jeffrey left Emory University in 2022 to become a Medical Science Liaison at Jubilant Radiopharma where he has worked for over 2 years now. In his spare time, Jeffrey enjoys spending time outdoors golfing and hiking. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends in Augusta, GA.
Kevin Irwin, CNMT
NMTCB(CT) graduated from Augusta University in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in
Nuclear Medicine Technology. Kevin has worked all around Georgia as a
technologist up until 2023. Kevin transitioned into a Traveling Nuclear
Medicine Technologist and took multiple contracts in Virginia and California.
Kevin is now settled into his role as a Clinical Education Specialist for Molecular
Imaging with Siemens Healthineers. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys fitness,
traveling abroad, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
Edwin Keeler, CNMT, NCT, RT(CT) graduated from the Medical College of Georgia in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of South Carolina at Aiken. He is currently employed at University Hospital in Augusta Georgia where he works strictly in Nuclear Cardiology. Outside of his cardiology experience, Edwin is an instructor in the Nuclear Medicine Program at Augusta University and is currently attending Francis Marion University to get his Master’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Executive Healthcare Management. He has attended the SNMMI-TS Leadership Academy, serves on the SNMMI-TS By-Laws Committee, and is a member of the Georgia Technologist Advocacy Group. He has previously held office with the GSNMT as treasurer the past four years.
Kirly Simpson is a graduate from the Medical College of Georgia with more that 30 years of experience. Has been involved in the Georgia Society of Nuclear Medicine since graduation as an attendee and officer. Employed at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, GA. Presently serving on the Board of Directors for NMTCB certification Board. Enjoys time with family, traveling and photography.
Ellie Breckenridge, CNMT graduated from Augusta University with a bachelor of science in radiologic technology. She worked for a private cardiology practice outside of graduation and is now employed at Northeast Georgia Medical Center working in nuclear cardiology. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, crafting, and trying new restaurants.
Sonya Butler is a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with over 30 years of experience. She is a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) and has a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from MUSC. She is originally from Cassatt, South Carolina and currently lives in Hiram, Georgia. Sonya began her career as a Radiology Technologist in 1989 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Columbia, SC. She then worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Lexington Medical Center West Columbia, SC from 1991 to 1994. In 1994, she became the Nuclear Medicine Coordinator at Kershaw County Medical Center in Camden, SC. She held this position until 2001.
In 2003, Sonya joined the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC. She held several positions at MUSC, including Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, Clinical Instructor, and Clinical Research Coordinator. She left MUSC in 2015. Since 2016, Sonya has been working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Wellstar Hospital System Kennestone Hospital and Paulding Hospital in Marietta and Hiram, Georgia. She also worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Amen Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia from 2017 to 2020.
Sonya is a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist. She is dedicated to her patients and providing them with the best possible care. She is also a valuable asset to her team and is always willing to help others.
