ABOUT THIS WALK: While the Camino de Santiago is generally the topic of conversation on all our hikes, this stroll is specifically targeted to those who are still trying to learn about the Camino and decide if they can/want to do it.
We will walk 2 miles level and easy via the Arizona Canal Trail from G.R. Herberger Park to the Soleri Bridge in Scottsdale. We will stop for coffee near the Bridge at Olive & Ivy, sitting outside so dress accordingly. After coffee and chat we will walk the same 2M returning to our vehicles. In addition to coffee, the area around Solari Bridge has restrooms, drinking water, and limited foods available.
If running late day of hike, call your hike leader: Kath Stoll @ 602.616.9467
Kath co-founded this new version of the Valley of the Sun Chapter and breathed new life into the organization. She also served on a national committee for the American Pilgrims on the Camino Annual Gathering. She walked the Camino Ingles in 2018. If your plans change for attending this stroll, please call or text Kath @ 602.616.9467.

Call or text your hike leader Kath Stoll @ 602.616.9467 if you are unable to make it or are running late.
No dogs allowed due to chapter liability.
We will share the trail with other runners, walkers and bikers so despite our engaging conversations we will be aware of our surroundings and courteous by stepping walking single file when necessary.
Reminders: Our chapter activities are led by volunteers. Donativo contributions (cash only) are greatly appreciated and are used to support future activities. Look for the orange donativo jar by the signup at the beginning of each hike.
We always gather in the spirit of the Camino; therefore the hike leader will maintain awareness of the pace of the group, and will stop periodically at trail intersections to allow all participants to catch up. Hikers/walkers are differently abled and will not finish at the same time. There will be a sweep for larger groups and no hiker will be abandoned. Please review the trail description before signing up to be sure the hike is right for you and your abilities.
Please note freeway construction restrictions along Valley freeways may impact travel time. Visit https://azdot.gov/weekend-freeway-travel-advisory and plan your route and travel time accordingly.
