The annual West Virginia Women in Agriculture Conference provides research-based and practical educational opportunities for agribusiness women while fostering networking and leadership development. Workshops focus on the five areas of risk management and production enterprises. Farm tours highlight successful operations and provide opportunities for participants to learn from other’s experiences. The conference rotates annually to demonstrate the diversity of agricultural enterprises throughout West Virginia.

This event will provide networking opportunities, leadership development, educational tours of diverse operations and production and marketing workshops for agricultural service providers or female agricultural producers or agribusiness women across West Virginia.  You won't want to miss this!

Women In Ag Learning Objectives:

- Education: Find information easily obtained, retained and understandable from discussion-based teaching experiences at the conference.

- Collaboration: Learn how to more effectively connect with other producers, funders, service providers and governmental representatives.

- Leadership: Understand the importance of developing leadership skills and sharing them to increase successes in the agriculture and natural resources industry.

- Economic: Adopt strategies that will lead to improved efficiency and increase small farm and agribusiness sustainability in West Virginia.

West Virginia Annie’s Project program fosters problem solving, record keeping, and decision-making skills in women in agriculture, to help them build sustainable, viable and profitable agribusinesses.

Large Grazing operation on acres and acres of rolling hills in Maysville, WV

Horticulture
- May Tree Farm - Christmas Trees. Used to wholesale not to cut and carry, Maysville, WV
Buena Vista - U pick strawberries and other produce also do value added products.  Also have beef cattle and poultry houses.  Old Fields, WV
LRC B&B - Agrotourism and an educational working farm experience, Bowden, WV

Wear comfortable clothing, comfortable shoes/boots, sweatshirts or jacket when weather gets chilly or rainy
