And while we are not as terrifying as Poltergeists (and yes we know “They’re Back” is the proper phrase), there are certainly some scary employment law areas that this conference will help you navigate. Every two years we gather to share our wisdom, knowledge, and best kept secrets in an effort to help and inspire each other.  This two-day conference is designed for lawyers and professionals who represent employees.  It will be held at the Embassy Suites in downtown Des Moines and feature presentations and demonstrations by leading plaintiffs’ lawyers in the Eighth Circuit.  Substantive issues will have particular application to practice in the Eighth Circuit.  Eighth Circuit NELA is an organization founded in 2000 by NELA affiliates, which today includes the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, and Nebraska.  Our membership is over 300 lawyers in these four states.  We are a recognized affiliate of NELA (National Employment Lawyers Association).  NELA, with over 3,000 members nationwide, is the nation’s only bar association that is comprised of lawyers who primarily represent individuals in employment-related matters.
