Using Professional Learning Communities to Ensure Equitable Access to Quality Instruction
January 12, 2024  ·  Friday Institute

Effective Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) are vital to giving teachers both time and space to contemplate and develop a strategic plan to deliver quality instruction. Facilitated by a national authority on curriculum, instructional, and school improvement, Donyall D. Dickey, Ed.D. will orient participants to the gold standard model participating in and leading transformative content and pedagogy-driven PLCs.

Designed to support administrator and teacher collaboration, this session provides a deep dive into the eight to ten requisite questions which educators should pose to ensure equitable student access to dynamic standards-informed, student-centered instruction. Each participant will leave with a concrete blueprint for facilitating and/or supporting the process of planning in the context of cognitively diverse student populations.
